Tammana is a beautiful village girl. She is already nearing her 30s.

The boy agreed to marry her and sent his family pundit to confirm the match.
The pundit took a close look at her kundali and found out that she had some Dhosh in her kundali.
He explained to her father that the match is good but to remove her Dhosh they have to perfom a special puja in the temple outside their village.
But he also said they have to perform something else.
The pandit told something secretive in Tammana's father's ears.
He suggested they do it soon to not loose the perfect match.
Tammana's father discussed it with his wife and they agreed to do it as necessary.
He called his daughter and asked whether she liked the groom.
She said she liked him very much.
Then he told her they have to do a special puja for the match to happen but did not disclose to her what she had to do.
Next day, the arrangements were made for the special puja in the temple outside their village.
Tammana reached the temple along with her family. She began doing rounds around temple as she used to do every week.
When she was done with her rounds, her family took her to corner of a temple where a person was sitting.
A small stool was arranged in front of him and he had a bool with him and some water in a bucket beside him.
Her father asked her to go and sit in front of him.
She asked him",Why father?".
The he said,"Because you have to shave your head for this puja to be successful".
Tammana was shocked.
She did not know what to say.
The thought of losing her long and thick hair was shocking to her and she almost was about to cry.
"Don't worry my dear this is what the pundit had to say and he promised the match would be success if you shave your head and perform the puja".
Though she did not wanted to get her headshaved, she agreed to do it.
As her parents gave her everything she asked in her life, she decided to do it for them.
She went and sat down in front of the barber.
She loosed her thick braid and smiled back looking at her parents nervously.

She loosed her thick braid and smiled back looking at her parents nervously.
The barber got up and started pouring some water on her head.
Then he took a fresh blade and put it in the razor....
Then he took that razor and went to Tammana's back side.
He put the razor at the middle portion of her head.
Schrr Schrr he started shaving her head from her middle portion to front.
Very soon he shaved off her right side front portion to smooth bald.
About a quarter of her head was without hair and she started feeling fresh air on her shaved portion of head.
She was shivering from inside as blade was going schrr schrr on her head.
The pandit was also present with the family while Tammana was getting shaved.
At this point the pandit asked the barber to stop.
Tammana was shocked as why the shaving was stopped incomplete.
He explained that she had to do 3 rounds around inner temple with incomplete bald head.
She was horrified at the thought of going around with incomplete shaved head.
The pandit said it was necessary to remove her remaining Dhoshs to be nullified.
Reluctantly she agreed and started doing her rounds around inner temple.
Soon her 3 rounds were done.
She came back and again sat in front of barber.
He resumed his task of shaving her head again.
Very soon the front area of her head was completely bald.
The barber now started shaving the back portion of her head.
Schrr Schrr Schrr she was now feeling every portion of her bald head being in contact with fresh cold air.
Now her headshaving was nearing her completion.
The barber started to shave offf the remaining portions of head where hair was slightly visible.
Tammanna gave a nervous smile as the barber was completing off her headshave.
She looked back at her parents as they were also looking at her with nervous smile.
Now she was totally bald with smoothly shaved head.
She got up and went to bath.
While she was bathing she enjoyed the feeling of rubbing her smooth bald head.
After washing of her head was done, Tammana went and dressed up in a blue saree.
She quickly got ready and went to do special puja for which she had sacrificed her beautiful hair.
She went and sat near the god's idol and did all that was needed for the puja to be successful.
She was lookig even more beautiful in her smoothly shaved bald head and blue saree.
As the puja was a success, she got married to the groom.
They lived happily as a result of the puja.
She realised nothing is more important than her parents happiness and her happiness.
She was glad that she shaved her head that day for her happy future.
She decided she will offer her hair at that temple and get her headshaved there once in every five years.
She did that for the rest of her life and lived happily.
